“As a mom and an attorney, I have firsthand experience with the college admissions process, having successfully guided my daughter through her journey to her best-fit university. Drawing from my legal background and personal experience, I founded Fit & Match College Consulting to provide the professional guidance and support that students and their families need to navigate this complex and competitive landscape.”
Our mission is to alleviate the stress and uncertainty surrounding college admissions by offering comprehensive, personalized consulting services. We work closely with each student to identify their unique strengths, passions, and goals. We help them develop a strategic plan to maximize their chances of admission to the colleges that best align with their objectives.

Amanda Hirschberg, JD
Founder & Educational Consultant
Amanda is the founder of Fit and Match College Consulting. After going through the college admissions process with her oldest daughter, Amanda was inspired to enter the college consulting industry. She now seeks to shepherd other students and families through the process in an intentional way with as little stress as possible.
Amanda is attending the UCLA Extension College Counseling Certificate Program as well as other professional college counseling courses. She is an Associate Member of IECA (Independent Education Consultants Association) and attended the IECA’s Summer Training Institute in 2024. In addition, she holds a Juris Doctorate from Fordham University School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Vermont.
As a member of the Independent Education Consultants Association (IECA), a professional organization focused on college counseling, Amanda abides by their Principles of Good Practice and ethical standards. Amanda visits colleges when possible, attends industry conferences and regularly participates in professional development. My college admissions education is on-going and designed to stay informed of the constantly changing college admissions landscape.
Drawing from her personal experience and her background as an attorney, Amanda is dedicated to providing expert guidance and support to students and their families. She is currently attending the UCLA Extension College Counseling Certificate Program and is a student member of the Independent Education Consultants Association (IECA), demonstrating her commitment to staying at the forefront of the college admissions landscape.
